Zu wissen, dass man beobachtet wird, während man sich privat zu Hause aufhält, ist beängstigend und unangenehm, obwohl die Menschen seit Jahrhunderten zu Hause die gleichen normalen Beschäftigungen wie Schlafen, Essen, Sex haben usw. verrichten. Mit Hilfe der neuesten Wärmebildkamera möchte ich in die kleinen Häuser von Brück hineinsehen.
Ein Objekt mit einer Temperatur über 0° Celsius sendet Strahlungen im Infrarotbereich aus. Sogar Objekte, die wir als besonders kalt einstufen, wie z.B. Eiswürfel, senden infrarote Strahlungen aus. Je wärmer das Objekt, ist umso stärker ist die Infrarot-Strahlung. Wissenschaftliche optische Messgeräte wie Mikroskope, Teleskope, Spektroskope, Elektroskope, Periskope etc. enthüllen Leben, wo das menschliche Auge nichts als Leere finden würde. Das Projekt Brückoskop zeigt phantomartige, infrarote menschliche Bewegungen in den Häusern entlang der Brücker Hauptstraße. Es stellt die Frage, was privat ist und gleichzeitig, was technisch machbar ist.

Statement:
Ich kombiniere Kunst mit Forschung und Theorie. Ich verwende Fotografie, Video, Computer, Text und Klang, um die Beziehung zwischen verschiedenen Arten der Wirklichkeitsdarstellung (Nachrichten, Reportagen, Dokumentarfilme, Touristenführer etc.) and Fiktion (Kunst, Romane, Filme, Comics) zu erforschen. Ich interessiere mich für kulturelle, historische und plitische Situationen und deren Interpretation in Bezug zu Zeit, Ort und Erfahrung.

Knowing that somebody is watching while being at home is both scary and unpleasant, although people have for centuries been doing the same normal activities at home, such as sleeping, eating, having sex, etc. With the help of the latest heat camera technology I want to peep inside the houses in the small town of Brück. An object that has a temperature above absolute zero (-273,15 degrees Celsius or 0 Kelvin) emits radiation in the infrared region. Even objects that we think of as being very cold, such as ice cubes, emit infrared radiation. The warmer the object, the more infrared radiation it emits. Scientific tools, such as microscopes, telescopes, spectroscope, electroscope, periscope, etc. reveals life, where the human eye (or ear) would find nothing. The project Brückoscope, shows infrared phantoms inside the houses on the main street of Brück, rising questions such as what is private and at the same time technically possible.
