Grave stones and monuments are still designed to last thousands of years, and are normally crushed into gravel after single use. In order to save natural resources, human effort and to protect landscapes, the same grave stones could be used by many customers over. The newest names and dates on the recycled stones are based on the globally most common names and the largest generations in, and reflect the statistic average life expectancies
Finnish artist Tea Mäkipää creates installations in public space, as well as photographs and videos. Her works are inspired by admiration of nature, human co-existence with animals and modern life style with its problems, such as global warming and contraction of biodiversity.
